TENNIS
PEYTON GOLLHOFER -- Ball State University (Sr., Cartersville native; Laurel Springs Academy) — While she didn't feature in singles action, Gollhofer and teammate Isabelle Dohanics eased to a 6-1 doubles victory in Ball State's 5-2 win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
TRACK AND FIELD
SPENCER FIELDS -- Rhodes College (Sr., Kingston native, Darlington HS) — Fields placed 52nd in the 5,000-meter run at the David Hemery Valentine Invite this past weekend in Boston. He finished the race in 14 minutes, 58.92 seconds.
TREVOR KNOWLES -- Albion College (So., Woodland HS) — Knowles picked up a pair of top-three finishes in a meet over the weekend at Grand Valley State. He placed third in the long jump and came in runner-up to a teammate in the high jump.
WRESTLING
ROBBY EARICK -- Life University (So., Cartersville HS) — Earick dropped a 13-6 decision at the 141-pound weight division in a Mid-South Conference dual against Cumberland (Tennessee). The Eagles fell to the Phoenix by a 30-15 margin.
JAKE HUFFINE -- Chattanooga (Jr., Woodland HS) — Huffine went 1-1 at 133 pounds this past week, as the Mocs secured a share of the Southern Conference regular-season title with a pair of home wins. Huffine picked up a 14-4 major decision over his opponent from The Citadel on Friday. He dropped a hard-fought 5-2 minor decision against his 20th-ranked foe from Campbell.
