Cass shutout at Rockmart
Three Rockmart pitchers combined to shutout Cass 7-0 and limit the Colonels to only three hits Saturday in non-region action. The Yellow Jackets scored a single run in the first inning, five in the third, and one more in the fourth for their seven run total. Brayden Cole (4 IP, 0R, 1H, 2BB, 6K), Logan Shelton (2 IP, 0R, 1H, 1BB, 4K), and Evan Ratcliff (1 IP, 0R, 1H, 1BB, 1K) combined to keep the Cass bats quiet.
Dylan Bailey led Rockmart with three hits. Andruw Morris and Cooper Yanzetich added two hits each. Matt Shook, Clay Means, and Karson Kelley had one hit each for Cass. Cass (7-10) will host Rockmart (11-5) Monday in the second game of the home-and-home series at 5:55 p.m.
