Adairsville falls at LFO
Adairsville baseball dropped an 11-0 decision at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Thursday night in Region 6-AAA action. The host Warriors took a 2-0 lead through three innings, but put the game away with a nine-run fourth inning.
LFO pitcher Zac Coots held Adairsville to only four hits while tossing a five-inning, complete game. He walked two and struck out six.
Four Tigers had one hit each including Levi Blackwell, Landon Ayers, Kyler Smith, and B.J. Roper.
Starter Noah Nation (3 IP, 4ER, 3H, 6BB, 1K) took the pitching loss for Adairsville. Braden Powell (0.1 IP, 7ER, 5H, 2BB, 1K) and Roper (0.2 IP, 0R, 1H, 1K) also took the mound for the Tigers.
Adairsville (3-12, 2-7) plays at Calhoun Friday at 5:55 p.m. weather permitting.
