Brumlow led Cartersville golfers win 5-Star Invitational

The Cartersville High School boys’ golf team fired its best round of the 2019 season Thursday and won the Five Star Invitational at Windstone Golf Club in Ringgold by two shots over Christian Heritage. Cartersville’s Buck Brumlow, (photo) a high school sophomore and University of Georgia commit, shot a five-under-par 67 to also win medalist honors.

Carson Harris was next for the Canes with a 75, followed by Camden Meadows (76), Jake Wehunt (78), Dalton Henson (78), and Blane Davis (80) for Cartersville.

Other teams competing in the one-day event included Heritage-Catoosa, Northwest Whitfield, Dalton, Calhoun, Lafayette, Gordon Lee, Coahulla Creek, North Murray, and Ringgold.
