AHSBA September tourney results


The Amateur High School Bass Anglers had their September tournament Saturday on Lake Weiss in Alabama out of Leesburg Landing. The event drew 33 boats with young anglers catching 71 fish with a total weight of 103.65 pounds.


The top five in the senior division:

1. Carter Rice and Cazwell Smith (both of Cartersville High) with 10.67 pounds - also had big fish (5.98 lbs.) 2. Peyton Ray & Elijah Morris (both of Cartersville High) 3. Jackson Burchett (Sonoraville High) and Will Muse (Calhoun High) 4. Seth Martin & Jesse Martin (both of Cass High) 5. Tripp Morgan & Taylor Mullins (both of Gordon Central Middle)


The junior division included 17 boats with 24 fish caught at a total weight of 39.77 pounds. The top five in the junior division:

1. Brody Spann & Carson Matthews (7.14 lbs. - also had big fish with 4.06 lbs.) (both of Rockmart Middle) 2. Wes Taylor & Rex Richardson (both of Calhoun Middle) 3. Charlie Ward & Konner Peek - (both of Cedartown Middle) 4. Connor Whitlock & Dalton Mealer (both of Adairsville Middle) 5. Avery Riseden (Cass Middle) & Dyllan Baldwin (Adairsville Middle) The next tournament is October 12 out of Doll Mountain on Carters Lake.
