3rd-ranked Chargers extend win streak to 16 games

The Georgia Highlands Chargers extended their current winning streak to 16 games on Thursday with two wins over Roane State CC, 10-5 and 10-2.
Eleven pitchers shared the pitching load for the Chargers. They limited the Raiders to 11 hits across 14 innings. GHC pitchers struck out 16.
Will Cawthon led the offense with five hits and one RBI in the doubleheader. Ryan Wideman produced three hits including a home run, a triple, and five RBIs. Davis Newman totaled three hits including a homer, two doubles, and three RBIs. Barrett Eldridge had three hits including a home run and three RBIs.
The losses dropped Roane State to 15-13 on the season.
The NJCAA 3rd-ranked Chargers (28-2) host Abraham Baldwin on Tuesday at 3 p.m. to begin a four-game conference home-and-home series that includes three games at ABAC on Friday and Saturday (March 22-23).
