Adairsville and host Woodland perform well at Wildcat Invitational

Adairsville finished second, and Woodland was third of seven teams in combined scores Saturday at the Wildcat Invitational held at the Adairsville High School swimming facility.


Adairsville won the boys’ competition with Woodland third.  The Lady Cats were second, and the Lady Tigers were fourth.


Whitewater won the combined scores. Trinity Christian was fourth, followed by Pickens, East Paulding, and Paulding County.


Local event winners:


Woodland girls 200-yard medley relay — Madysen Grano, Peighton Young, Emily Guin, and Kailyn Black — 2:12.45


Adairsville boys 400-yard freestyle relay — Brian Grist, Beau Hollimon, Calvin Konen, Kevin Andres Cortez Suarez — 4:19.60


Dylan Barrett — Adairsville — 100-yard freestyle — 55.53


Joel McSwain — Woodland — 500-yard freestyle — 6:15.88
