Adairsville boys advance to Region 6AAA quarterfinals


T.J. Printup paced the Tigers with 16 points Tuesday night.

The Adairsville Tigers won a second round matchup at the Region 6-AAA Tournament at North Murray High School Tuesday night, defeating Coahulla Creek 57-34. T.J. Printup led Adairsville with 16 points. Tucker Deams followed with 10 and Savaun Henderson scored nine. William Longmire and Jaxon Welchel chipped in with six points each. Malachi Gardner posted five. Hayden Poarch scored four and Courtney Slocum added one point for the Tigers. Adairsville led 18-9 after the opening eight minutes and held a 33-17 advantage at halftime. The Tigers maintained a 43-27 lead through three quarters as they advanced with a 23-point win. Coahulla Creek, led by Barrett Barbre’s nine points, finished its season with a 9-16 record. Adairsville (11-14) advances to a quarterfinal round game against Murray County Thursday at 5:30 p.m. back at North Murray High School.
