Adairsville boys defeat Murray County; Lady Tigers fall


T.J. Printup paced the Tigers with 28 points as Adairsville beat visiting Murray County Tuesday night, 71-46.

T.J. Printup scored 28 points and Hayden Poarch added 18 to lead the Adairsville Tigers to a 71-46 Region 6-AAA home win Tuesday night over Murray County.

Tre Mitchell added nine points for the Tigers.

Following a close first quarter, Adairsville outscored the visiting Indians 17-5 in the second quarter to carry a 35-21 lead to the intermission. The Tigers extended that lead to 60-31 by the end of the third quarter.

Avery Jones led Murray County with 10 points. Carson Weaver finished with eight while Eric Rosas and Tad Stone added seven points apiece for the Indians.

Murray County fell to 9-5 overall and 3-3 in region play.

Adairsville (8-4, 5-1) plays at 10th-ranked Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (12-0) Friday night.


MURRAY COUNTY 47, ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 34

Ella Dotson scored 14 points and Mattie Nuckolls added 13 as visiting Murray County defeated the Adairsville girls Tuesday night, 47-34. The Lady Indians led 25-18 at halftime and built on their lead in the second half improving to 11-3 on the season and 5-1 in Region 6-AAA.

Autumn Henderson led the Lady Tigers with nine points. Naxyria Roberts and Ya’Torrean Hale added seven points each.

Adairsville (7-4, 3-3) plays at undefeated and 5th-ranked Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Friday night at 6 p.m.
