Ringgold cut the Adairsville lead to 4-3 in the 47th minute but LeMay scored an insurance goal in the 77th minute to once again build a two-goal cushion. Her 50-yard run sprinted by the Ringgold defense.

Ringgold added a late goal with about two minutes remaining in the game to make it 5-4 but Adairsville held off the visitors the rest of the way.

The coaching staff credited Maddie Gossett for her outstanding defensive play and ability to distribute from her position.

The Adairsville girls (8-3, 3-0) play a non-region match at Bremen Friday night.

The visiting Ringgold boys led 3-1 at the intermission Monday night, but Adairsville rallied for a pair of goals in the second half to send the game to overtime.
