Adairsville girls soccer blanks Central-Carroll, 2-0

The Adairsville girls soccer team blanked visiting Central-Carroll Tuesday night in Tiger Valley, 2-0.

Taylor Rhoades scored for Adairsville in the ninth minute from 15 yards out. Cat Wheeler added the Tigers second goal unassisted in the 66th minute when Adairsville was down a player.

Lillie McBride had a strong game in midfield according to the Adairsville coaching staff. Sadye Johnson was also strong with good distribution of the ball up the field and Ellie McBride played well on the defensive end for the Lady Tigers.

Annie McCormick earned the shutout in net.

Adairsville (3-1) will host its first Region 6-AAA game Thursday against LaFayette.
