Adairsville girls stay unbeaten with win over Model

Autumn Henderson led Adairsville with 14 points Tuesday in an overtime win over Model at the Armuchee Thanksgiving Invitational.

The Adairsville girls basketball team outscored Model 8-2 in overtime Tuesday night to improve to 3-0 on the season with a 52-46 win at the Armuchee Thanksgiving Invitational in Rome.

The Lady Tigers trailed 23-17 at halftime, but caught the Blue Devils by the end of the third quarter and tied the score at 35-all. Both teams scored nine points in the fourth quarter and went to the overtime period tied at 44-all.

Autumn Henderson led Adairsville in scoring with 14 points. Naxyria Roberts scored 12. Lexie Childers followed with 11. Haley Stiles posted eight points. Alissa Winters and Ya’Torrean Hale added four and three points, respectively.

Ansley Coogler led Model with 16 points. Rachael Burkehalter scored 11 for the Blue Devils.

The loss dropped Model to 0-2 on the seaason.

Adairsville (3-0) plays at Dalton Academy next Tuesday.
