Adairsville shutout at Ringgold

The Adairsville Tigers lost a 9-0 Region 6-AAA decision Tuesday night at Ringgold.

Ringgold hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning and scored four runs in the frame to take an early lead and never looked back.

Pitcher Ross Norman tossed a complete-game shutout for Ringgold and struck out 13 without issuing a walk.

Adairsville managed just two hits in their loss. Chris Roper and Baxter Ryan had one single each.

5th-ranked Ringgold improved to 17-5 overall and 7-0 in Region 6-AAA.

Adairsville (11-8, 5-2) hosts Ringgold in a rematch Thursday at 5:55 p.m. and will entertain Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
