Adairsville soccer teams fall at Coahulla Creek
The Adairsville girls and boys soccer teams dropped Region 6-3A matches Tuesday night at Coahulla Creek.
The Lady Tigers fell 2-0 and the Tigers lost a 6-1 decision.

Adairsville keeper Annie McCormick was recognized by the coaching staff for her numerous key stops Tuesday night — keeping Adairsville close, but the Lady Tigers could not crack the scoreboard in a 2-0 region loss at Coahulla Creek.
The Adairsville girls (8-5, 3-2 Region 6-AAA) play at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Friday.
COAHULLA CREEK 6, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 1
An experienced and physical Colts team built a 3-0 lead in the first half and went on to defeat visiting Adairsville 6-1 Tuesday night in Whitfield County.
JJ Grimaldo scored the only Adairsville goal of the game on a penalty kick in the second half.
Adairsville plays at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on Friday with an opportunity to secure a state playoff berth for the first time in the program’s history. A win would give the Tigers the region’s 4-seed and earn a playoff trip to Sandy Creek.
