Adairsville soccer teams fall to Model

The Adairsville Lady Tigers soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to visiting Model on Friday in a non-region game.

The Blue Devils won a tight scramble in the box and converted for a goal in the 30th minute to lead 1-0 at the intermission. Model went up 2-0 in the 43rd minute and added another score five minutes later from a penalty kick.

Model, the defending Class A-Division I state champs, improved to 5-2.

Adairsville (4-1) will look to bounce back on Tuesday at Pickens in a 6 p.m. kickoff, and will visit Northwest Whitfield on Thursday in a Region 7-AAA match at 5:30 p.m.

MODEL 7, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 0

The Adairsville boys trailed 2-0 at halftime and lost 7-0 on Friday night at home in a non-region match with the Model Blue Devils.

Model improved to 6-1.

Adairsville (0-4) visits North Paulding on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and will begin play in Region 7-AAA on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
