Adairsville track & field teams compete at Gilmer meet

The Adairsville boys placed second, and the girls were third on March 17 at a four-team meet hosted by Gilmer High School in Ellijay. 

Fideles Christian School won the girls competition with Gilmer second, Adairsville third, and Lumpkin County fourth. Gilmer won the boys meet, followed by Adairsville, FCS, and Lumpkin.

Event winners for the Tigers and Lady Tigers:

• Torron Hale — Long jump — 19-3

• Bentley Bagley — Triple jump — 36-10

• Aubrie Acie — 100-meter hurdles — 19.92

• Cameron Jocelyn — 110-meter hurdles — 17.26

• Torron Hale — 100-meter dash — 11.41

• Aaron Souders — 800-meter run — 2:15.25

• Torron Hale — 200-meter dash — 24.27

• Girls 4x100 meter relay — Zofia Wielgusz, Aubrie Acie, Jaikeria Bradley, Blakell Lattimer (54.75)

The next meet for Adairsville is at Pepperell on Friday, March 27.
