Adairsville volleyball celebrates '21 Senior Night with a pair of three-set wins


The Adairsville volleyball team celebrated its 2021 seniors Tuesday night with a pair of three-set wins over visiting Woodland and Coahulla Creek.

The Tigers won the opening set with Woodland 25-19 before the Lady Cats responded to win the second set 25-20. Adairsville then won the deciding third set 15-6.

Lexie Childers had three kills, three assists, three digs, and a pair of blocks in the win over Woodland. Madison Flemons contributed 11 digs. Richlyn Blair finished with eight kills and two service aces. Autumn Henderson totaled five assists. Kaylee Jordan had three aces and Haley Stiles finished with two blocks.

Against Coahulla Creek, the Lady Tigers won the first set 25-21, dropped the second set 25-22, and came back to win the final set 15-6.

Jordan accumulated four service aces, two kills, two digs, and a block. Annie McCormick had five digs, three assists, and one ace. Henderson finished with five kills and a block. Blair totaled five kills and an ace. Bailey Weaver contributed nine digs and one kill. Childers and Yatorrean Hale combined for eight assists. Stiles had a pair of kills and Flemons added two digs and an assist.

With Tuesday’s wins, Adairsville improves to 11-4-1 on the season and travels to Temple for another non-region match Thursday night.
