Adairsville, Woodland teams drop region games on the road

The Adairsville and Woodland basketball teams dropped region games on the road Friday night.
The Lady Tigers and Tigers fell at LaFayette while the Lady Cats and Wildcats lost games at Blessed Trinity.
LAFAYETTE 57, ADAIRSVILLE GIRLS 48

Jenna Baker scored 19 points to help lead the host Lady Ramblers to a 57-48 win Friday night over Adairsville.
Alissa Winters scored 12 points and Haley Stiles added 10 for the Lady Tigers.
LaFayette improved to 8-11 on the season and 4-9 in Region 6-AAA.
Adairsville (10-10, 3-9) travels to Coahulla Creek Tuesday for a 6 p.m. tip.
LAFAYETTE 75, ADAIRSVILLE BOYS 65
After falling behind 20-8 in the opening quarter Friday night at LaFayette, the Adairsville boys rallied in the second quarter to trail by only three at halftime, 33-30.
The 6th-ranked Ramblers then used a strong third quarter performance to build another 12-point lead, 60-48, before holding on for a 10-point region win.
Aiden Hadaway and Junior Barber led the Ramblers with 29 and 28 points, respectively.
Adairsville was led by T.J. Printup with 25 points. Tre Winters followed with 19 and Tre Mitchell scored 10 for the Tigers.
LaFayette stayed undefeated this season improving to 20-0 overall and 13-0 in region action.
Adairsville (11-9, 7-5) travels to Coahulla Creek Tuesday night to take on the region-foe Colts.
BLESSED TRINITY 64, WOODLAND GIRLS 29
The Lady Titans placed three players in double figures in a 64-29 win Friday night over visiting Woodland.
Christa Lair (17), Maura Ryan (13), and Tyler Kaseta (11) led Blessed Trinity.
Abigail Taylor led Woodland with 18 points.
Blessed Trinity improved to 11-10 overall and 5-1 in Region 7-AAAAA.
Woodland (2-17, 0-6) hosts Calhoun Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
BLESSED TRINITY 64, WOODLAND BOYS 50
The Woodland boys dropped their seventh straight game Friday night at Blessed Trinity, 64-50.
The Titans improved to 11-10 for the season and 4-2 in Region 7-AAAAA.
Woodland (5-14, 0-6) has a home game with Calhoun Tuesday night.
