Adairsville wrestling competes at McCallie Invitational

Adairsville wrestling placed 29th of 34 teams Friday and Saturday at the McCallie Gordon Connell Invitational in Chattanooga.
McCallie won the tournament with 320 points. Baylor (TN) (176), Bradley Central (TN) (172.5), Signal Mountain (TN) (166), and Lakeway Christian Academy (TN) (164) rounded out the top five teams.
David Coon finished sixth for the Tigers in the 175-pound bracket. He went 5-3 in his bouts during the tournament, with four wins by pin and one by technical fall.
The Tigers host a tri-meet at home on Wednesday with Rome and Pickens. Bouts begin at 5 p.m.
