Ashmore finishes T21 at Epson Tour's Twin Bridges Championship

Maggie Ashmore of Kingston finished in a tie for 21st place Sunday at the Epson Tour’s 54-hole Twin Bridges Championship in Albany, New York.
The tournament was played at the 6,080-yard, par-71 Pinehaven Country Club.
Ashmore entered Sunday’s final round in a tie for fourth place after rounds of 71 and 68 to start the event. She slipped to a 76 on Sunday and closed the event a 2-over-par garnering a $2,279 paycheck — her first of the season.
Playing in four events in 2022 on the Epson Tour, Ashmore moved into 143rd on the tour’s money list. She previously missed cuts at the Island Resort Championship and Carolina Golf Classic in June. She also missed the cut in April at the Garden City Charity Classic.
The 26-year-old and former Augusta University golfer works on her game regularly at Cartersville Country Club.
Epson Tour leader Lucy Li won the Twin Bridges Championship and the $30,000 prize with rounds of 66-68-69 (10-under-par). Swedish pro Linnea Strom, currently second on the tour’s money list, finished four shots back (6-under) and veteran Allie White placed third at 4-under-par.
The next event on the Epson Tour is the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship July 29-31 at Battle Creek Country Club in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Epson Tour is the official qualifying tour of the LPGA Tour and is the most established women’s developmental tour in the world, entering the 41st year of structured competition in 2022.
