MASON BARNETT — MLB Athletics (5th-year pro; Auburn; Cartersville HS) … was recalled to the Athletics on June 2 from the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators and has now made three appearances, earning one win and one save. The 25-year-old recorded a two-inning save on June 9 in a home win over the Milwaukee Brewers. He followed up with a 1-2/3 innings appearance across the seventh and eighth innings as the A’s beat the visiting Colorado Rockies 6-4 last Friday. Since returning to the MLB club, Barnett has allowed no runs and only two hits, with two walks and 12 strikeouts. The Athletics began this week with a 35-36 record and in second place, one game behind Seattle in the American League West. They have a seven-game homestand this week with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Los Angeles Angels.
LOGAN MARTIN — Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants Double-A affiliate; 4th-year pro; Kentucky; Cartersville HS) … the 24-year-old was placed on the 7-day injured list for Richmond on May 30 and has not pitched since May 29. It is his third trip to the injured list for this season. He has made nine appearances for the Squirrels in 2026. Richmond started this week with a 41-21 record, leading the Eastern League Southwest Division by nine games. The Squirrels have a six-game series at the Chesapeake BaySox from Tuesday through Sunday.
ANTHONY SEIGLER — Worcester Woo Sox (Boston Red Sox Triple-A affiliate; 9th-year pro; Cartersville HS) … after making two appearances, including one start at second base for the MLB Boston Red Sox, Seigler was sent back to the Worcester WooSox on June 9. The 26-year-old played in three games last week for Worcester on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. He went 1-for-9 at the plate with two walks, one sacrifice fly, and one RBI. The WooSox began this week in fourth place with a 33-32 record, eight games behind Rochester in the International League East Division. Worcester is scheduled to play six games at the Lehigh Valley IronPigs from Tuesday through Sunday.
