August 2026 Elite Athletes of the Month

In conjunction with WBHF and Bartow Sports Zone, Elite Stone Supply presents the ELITE ATHLETES OF THE MONTH. Each month, local high schools select an Elite Athlete of the Month from their varsity programs and share the information about their honoree through Bartow Sports Zone and on 100.3 FM and AM 1450, WBHF in Cartersville.
Presley Crabbe is the August 2026 Elite Athlete of the Month representing Cartersville High School.
The daughter of Trent and Samantha Crabbe, the junior pitcher on the Lady Canes softball team is currently leading the state in strikeouts.“Presley has worked hard over the offseason and has played competitive softball all summer long. She has come into this season throwing the ball really well and getting a lot of swing and misses,” Cartersville softball coach Glen Woodard said. “Presley is a fantastic teammate and does everything the coaching staff asks her to do.’
Currently ranked No. 3 academically in her junior class with a 98.7 GPA, she plans to continue her playing career into college.
Kylie Gentry is the August 2026 Elite Athlete of the Month for Cass High School.
Gentry has been a standout for the Lady Colonels again this season. In 36-2/3 innings pitched, she has a 4-1 record with 41 strikeouts, a 0.95 ERA, and a 0.955 WHIP. On offense, she has a .310 batting average with four runs scored and five RBIs.
Off the field, she serves as the Junior Class Public Relations Officer in SGA, is involved in FCA, and is a member of the Cass High School Magnet Program. Her success on the field, in the classroom, and as a school leader makes her an excellent candidate for Elite Athlete of the Month.
She is the daughter of Kristen and Jake Gentry.
The Elite Athlete of the Month representing Adairsville High School is Chloe Hill.
A junior pitcher and corner infielder for the Lady Tigers softball team, she is the daughter of Robby and Michelle Hill.
“Chloe has been vital offensively and for our pitching staff,” said Adairsville coach Justin Evans. “She leads the team in batting average and hits. She has also logged 50-plus innings in the circle. She’s a hard worker on the field and in the classroom.”
After high school, Hill wants to become a teacher and coach.
Bailey Ryan has been selected as the August 2026 Elite Athlete of the Month to represent Woodland High School.
A senior two-sport athlete for the Lady Cats’ softball and basketball teams, she is the daughter of Pete and Tiffany Ryan.
A shortstop, center fielder, and pitcher for the Woodland softball team, Ryan has a .367 batting average and a 1.072 OPS. She leads the Lady Cats in hits, runs scored, and stolen bases and is tied for the team lead in home runs.
“When natural talent meets hard work, you get Bailey Ryan. She is a grinder, ultimate competitor, and great teammate. Give me nine like her,” noted coach Carey Carnes.
“Bailey is our only senior and in many ways another coach out there,” added softball head coach Jackson Cargle. “She is a Swiss army knife for this team. She can play anywhere in the field, she is fast, hits for average and power, and makes my job easier.”
Ryan is a Dual Enrollment student with a 3.9 GPA. She plans to attend Georgia Highlands College and then Kennesaw State University to become a teacher and coach.
