Bartow Little League 12U advances on Adcock's no-hitter

Bartow County Little League 12U pitcher Cooper Adcock tossed a three-inning no-hitter Monday night at Hamilton Crossing Park to blank Cedartown 12U 18-0 and advance Bartow to the Georgia District 1 championship round on Tuesday against Cartersville.
Adcock issued three walks and struck out three in the victory.
Bartow 12U scored nine runs in the top of the first inning, added three in the second, and closed out the game with six runs in the third while pounding out 17 hits.
Gatlin Townsend led the offense with three hits, including one triple, one double, and three RBI. Luke Holden (home run, double, four RBI), Camden Forsyth (three RBI), Cole Baker (two RBI), Adcock (RBI), and Kellan Rogers each produced two hits. Jake Nida (double, three RBI), McClain Cook (RBI), Max Cochran, and Cash Miller each added one hit.
The championship round begins Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Hamilton Crossing Park. Cartersville, which defeated Bartow 13-3 in their first tournament meeting on Sunday, will need one win to claim the District 1 title. Bartow must defeat Cartersville twice on Tuesday.
