Branton captures Senior Dixie Amateur title

Cartersville senior golfer, Chad Branton, carded rounds of 71-71-67 (7-under par) this past Wednesday through Friday to win the 2025 Dixie Amateur Senior Invitational at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Florida.

Branton finished three shots ahead of runner-up John Wright of Fairhope, Alabama, and five shots clear of Savannah’s Mike Combs. Rick Stimmel of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was fourth at 1-under par, with Allen Peake of Macon and Scott Stevens of Encinitas, California, tying for fifth at even par.

Branton’s title earns him additional points in the Senior World Amateur Golf Rankings.
