Canes fall to Coffee County in state quarterfinals

The Cartersville boys tennis team lost 3-1 to visiting Coffee County Wednesday afternoon and was eliminated in the Class 5A state quarterfinals.
Coffee won at Line 1 and Line 3 singles plus Line 2 doubles.
The lone Cartersville win was at Line 1 doubles by Nate McDonald and Robert Novak.
Coffee advances to the state semifinals where the Region 1-AAAAA champions will travel to Region 6-AAAAA champion Grady in Atlanta.
