Canes finish fifth at Rome Invitational

Cartersville High's Eric Toviave won both the 110M and 300M Hurdles Saturday at the Rome Invitational.

The Cartersville High School boys track and field team placed fifth and the Lady Canes were 16th at the 19-team Rome Invitational Saturday at Barron Stadium in Rome.

Carrollton won the boys team title followed by Alexander, Allatoona, and Shiloh. Alexander won the girls championship followed by Fort Payne (AL), Riverwood, Carrollton, and South Cobb.
