The Cartersville High School boys’ golf team won its third tournament trophy in six days on Thursday by capturing the North Georgia Invitational at The Farm in Dalton. The Hurricanes won the Chris Kirk Classic at Eagle Watch Golf Club on Tuesday, and won the Five-Star Classic last Saturday at Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta.

The Canes fired a 7-over par 295 total on Thursday, with Christian Heritage of Dalton finishing as runner-up.

Reid Henson led Cartersville with a 2-under par 70, and was joined by teammates Bodie Brumlow (74) and Carsen Stanfield (75) on the All-Tournament team.

The Hurricanes will split their squad next week. Part of the team will play on Monday and Tuesday in Columbus at the Larry Gaither Invitational at Bull Creek. The others will play on Monday in the Wolfpack Classic hosted by North Paulding High School at Bentwater Golf Club.
