Canes gymnasts earn qualifying scores

The Cartersville High School Gymnastics team was outdistanced 107.35 - 82.175 this past Saturday (March 16) as they hosted North Oconee at the Cartersville Twisters facility.

Cartersville sophomore Emerie Elrod placed third on floor exercise with a state qualifying score of 9.2. She was also fifth on vault with a qualifying score of 9.1.

Freshman Arabella Kilgore was second on floor and qualified with a 9.3. She was third on beam with an 8.475.

Senior Alyson Dunn received a qualifying score on floor, placing fourth with a 9.0.

The Canes travel to the Westminster School in Atlanta on Wednesday for their next meet.
