Canes riflery team completes 2022 season with state playoff berth

The Cartersville riflery team competed in the first round of the state playoffs March 18 in Waycross where the Canes fell to Ware County by a 1148-1084 score.

The Cartersville riflery team produced one of its best scores of the season in the state playoffs, but it wasn't enough to keep the Canes' post-season alive. The Canes Rifles lost 1148-1084 at Ware County after earning the state playoff berth with a fifth-place finish in the Area 10 championship.

Cartersville junior Angelina Christ fired a season best 279 to lead Cartersville, but the Gators had all five shooters finish with scores between 284 and 292.

Caleb Adams (273), Katerina Conley (268), Luis Rangel (265) and Kaleb Wolfe (260) rounded out the top-five finishers for the Canes.
