Canes tune up for region tourney with wins over Coosa, Christian Heritage

Cartersville volleyball took a pair of straight sets victories Thursday night in Rome, defeating Coosa 25-8, 25-12 and Christian Heritage 25-19, 25-13.

Canes’ coach Alicen Pearson played the matches with several different combinations and experimented with some different offensive sets. London Moultrie led the Hurricanes in kills and MIa Nicklas was credited as the team’s defensive leader.

Cartersville (22-9) begins play in the Region 7-AAAAA Tournament next Thursday at Calhoun against Hiram.
