Cartersville and Woodland volleyball teams lose opening-round playoff matches

The Cartersville and Woodland volleyball teams both lost their first-round matches Wednesday evening in the Class 5A state tournament.

The Lady Canes fell at home in three straight sets to Chattahoochee. The Lady Cats dropped three straight sets at Greater Atlanta Christian.

The season for Woodland ends with a 13-27 record. Cartersville’s season ends with a 28-18 mark.
