Cartersville battles to two wins at Storm Center

Cartersville volleyball won two matches in the Storm Center Thursday night, defeating North Forsyth in three sets (21-25, 30-28, 15-12) and River Ridge in straight sets (25-20, 25-20).
In the win over North Forsyth, Amara Ejieke had 12 kills, and Holly Dufrene totaled nine kills and eight blocks. Blakely Morris, Kinsey Wiggins, and Reese Gibson each contributed four blocks. Adelynn England and McKenzie Wilkie finished with 18 and 17 digs, respectively, while Brooke Belarmino and Emma Wall each had 13 assists.
Against River Ridge, Ejieke had nine kills, and England finished with eight. Morris and Wiggins each had three blocks. Wilkie contributed 16 digs. Wall and Belarmino finished with 12 and 11 assists, respectively.
The Lady Canes (6-1) visit Dalton on Tuesday and will also face Pepperell starting at 6 p.m.
