Ridgeland scored single runs in the third and fourth innings to shrink the Tigers’ lead to 5-2, but Adairsville answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 7-2. The Panthers scored twice in the top of the seventh and had a runner on base when Adairsville reliever Jarrett Scott ended the threat with a strikeout.

Tigers’ starter Jack Nelson (6 IP, 2R, 0ER, 4H, 2BB, 8K) scattered four hits and a pair of walks while picking up the pitching win. He limited Ridgeland to only two unearned runs. Scott (1 IP, 2ER, 2H, 1BB, 1K) finished off the seventh inning on the mound for the Tigers.
