Cartersville freshman gymnast qualifies for state prelims

The Cartersville gymnastics team lost Wednesday at Pace Academy 102-54.

Freshman Karley Garrison placed second all around with a total score of 32.1.

Annaston Wilson placed third in vault with a score of 8.1. Garrison was third in both bars and floor exercise with scores of 7.9 and 8.5, respectfully.

Garrison’s floor score was her second at 8.5 or greater, qualifying her for post-season competition at the State Preliminary Qualifier in Buford April 22.
