Cartersville girls and boys track and field teams are region runners-up

The Cartersville High track and field teams finished second this week at the Region 7-5A championships.
The Cartersville boys finished 14 points behind Calhoun in the final standings. Woodland was third and the Cass boys were fifth.
The Lady Canes finished 48 points behind Calhoun with Woodland third and the Cass girls fourth.
The top four in each event have advanced to the State Sectionals on Saturday, May 4 at Union Grove High School in McDonough.
