Cartersville girls fall to Chamblee in second round
The Cartersville girls tennis team suffered a 5-0 loss in the second round of the Class AAAAA tournament Wednesday at Chamblee.
The Lady Canes dropped four of the five individual matches in straight sets with only Emily Bush taking her Line 1 singles match to three sets. The Cartersville junior lost 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. The loss ends the season for the Lady Canes. Chamblee advances to the state quarterfinals to face the Veterans/Woodward Academy winner.
