Cartersville golf team places fifth at Georgia-South Carolina Cup
The Cartersville High boys golf team placed fifth overall of 16 teams Saturday at the Georgia-South Carolina Cup played at Currahee Club in Toccoa, GA.
Cartersville senior Buck Brumlow shot even par (72-72-- 144), tied for ninth individually, and made the All-Tournament team. Camden Meadows (77-73--150) tied for 26th and Blane Davis (77-79-- 156) tied for 44th in the 95-player field. Westminster won the team title with a 2-over-par 578 total. Other Georgia teams that followed included Johns Creek at 14-over-par and St. Pius at 20-over-par. Behind Cartersville fifth place finish included Georgia schools North Oconee (8th), Carrollton (11th), and South Forsyth (13th place).
