Cartersville golf teams sweep events at Nob North

The Cartersville girls’ and boys’ golf teams collected tournament wins on Saturday at Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta.
The Lady Canes won the Lady General Invitational in a tiebreaker with Gordon Lee. Cartersville was led in the par-3 tournament by Anna Jo Culverhouse with a 67. The freshman’s total was good for a third-place individual finish.
The Hurricane boys won the Five-Star Classic with a team total of 297. Cartersville was led by Bodie Brumlow, who carded a 2-under par 70. Reid Henson and Ramsey Dunn each shot 74 to place inside the top five.
The Canes are back in action on Tuesday in Woodstock at the Chris Kirk Classic at Eagle Watch Golf Club.
