Cartersville Little League baseball opens 2022 season

Blustery weather forced Cartersville Little League to delay its 2022 Opening Day games until Sunday, but the first set of games are in the books and the league is off and running for its 68th season. Originally scheduled to begin this past Saturday, the opening games were pushed back one day due to an arctic blast that moved through the Cartersville area. Opening Day ceremonies were delayed until later in the day, but did take place this past Saturday.

SUNDAY, MARCH 13

RANGERS 6, A’s 3

RANGERS: Brock Morris two hits, one RBI; Will Groce and Brooks Fulton two hits each; Caden McMullin one home run, two RBIs; Emory Weaver one hit, one RBI; Joel Rensch, Easton Stephens, and Xander Yanas one hit apiece.
