Cartersville soccer teams drop region contests with Blessed Trinity

The Cartersville girls and boys soccer teams lost their first Region 7-AAAAA games of the season Monday night facing Blessed Trinity at Weinman Stadium.

Squaring off against the top-ranked girls team in Class AAAAA, the Lady Canes fell by a 9-0 final score. The Cartersville boys lost a 4-2 decision.

The Canes (7-2-1, 3-1) are scheduled to play Northwest Whitfield Tuesday and Calhoun Friday to close out region play.

The Lady Canes (6-4-1, 3-1) also travel to Calhoun Friday.
