Cartersville third at 15-team Purple Hurricane Invitational

The Cartersville boys placed third to lead all local teams on Saturday at the 15-team Cartersville Purple Hurricane Invitational.
The Woodland boys placed sixth. The Cartersville girls were 7th and the Woodland girls finished 11th.
Woodstock won the girls' title followed by Cherokee and Allatoona. Carrollton won the boys' championship followed by Kennesaw Mountain and Cartersville.
