Cartersville track & field teams tune-up for Region Championship meet with wins at Darlington

The Cartersville track and field teams won a meet Thursday at Darlington in Rome defeating six other girls teams and four boys teams.

The Cartersville girls scored 147.5 points to finish ahead of Pepperell (130.5), Darlington (125.5), Chattooga (85), Coosa (41.5), Walker (34), and Christian Heritage (12).

The Cartersville boys totaled 250 points to finish ahead of Darlington (144.5), Pepperell (79), Coosa (74), and Chattooga (51.5).

The Canes and Lady Canes used the post-spring break meet as a tune-up for the upcoming Region 7-AAAAA Championships next Monday and Thursday.
