Cartersville track & field teams win Dalton Friday Night Lights

The Cartersville High School girls’ and boys’ track and field teams each won the six-team Friday Night Lights meet on March 13 hosted by Dalton High School.


The Cartersville girls finished with 186.75 points, with Heritage-Catoosa (154.50) and Dalton (122.50) claiming second and third, respectively.


The Cartersville boys powered their way to 288 points, followed by Heritage-Catoosa (145.50) and Dalton (109.50).


Northwest Whitfield, Ridgeland, and Coahulla Creek were the other competing schools.

The next meet for Cartersville is on Wednesday at Allatoona, where the Bucs will also host Alcovy, Central-Carroll, Cross Keys, Dominion Christian, East Paulding, Hiram, Kell, North Paulding, Paulding County, and Walker.
