Cartersville volleyball loses Sweet Sixteen playoff match at Greenbrier

The Cartersville volleyball season came to a close Saturday with a Sweet Sixteen loss at Greenbrier in straight sets.

The host Wolfpack won 25-9, 25-9, and 25-15.

Greenbrier advances to the state quarterfinals to face the Locust Grove/McIntosh winner. Lily Gochee finished with six assists and four digs for Cartersville. Ailee England had three kills and three digs. Mia Nicklas contributed eight digs, five kills, and two aces. London Moultrie totaled two aces, one kill, one block, and one dig. Layne Condra finished with five digs. Elizabeth Brown added five digs and two aces.

The Hurricanes’ season ends with a 28-15-1 record.
