Cartersville volleyball splits weekend matches in Knoxville

Cartersville volleyball finished 2-2 in four matches played this past weekend at the Knoxville Convention Center.

The Lady Canes had wins over Franklin (Tenn.) and Holy Cross (KY) in straight sets. Cartersville defeated Franklin 25-23 and 25-21. The victory over Holy Cross of Louisville was 25-20 and 25-15.

The Cartersville losses were to Assumption (KY) and Lovett (GA).

Assumption won 25-9 and 25-9, while Lovett also took a straight-sets decision.

Cartersville (13-4) hosts Dalton and Woodland in Region 7-4A matches on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
