The Cass Colonels picked up their second win of the young season on Friday evening at Model to earn a split with the Blue Devils during the week, and the Cartersville Purple Hurricanes suffered their third-straight loss.

Cass freshman Noah Rogers bounced an RBI single into left field in the top of the seventh inning for the game’s only run, lifting the Colonels to a 1-0 non-region win on Friday at Model.
Zach Stiles had reached on a two-base error with two outs and scored on the Rogers base hit.
Cass pitchers Landon Lamb (3.1 IP, 0R, 1H, 3BB, 1K) and Easton Lee (3.2 IP, 0R, 0H, 1BB) shared the mound duties and combined on the Colonels’ one-hitter.

The win for Cass evened the season series with the Blue Devils, who won at Cass last Tuesday, 11-2.
