Cass basketball teams drop games at North Cobb

The Cass Lady Colonels and Colonels basketball teams lost non-region games on Saturday at Class 6A North Cobb in Acworth.

NORTH COBB 55, CASS GIRLS 20

The host Lady Warriors built a 30-11 advantage in the first half and defeated Cass on Saturday, 55-20.

Jaidyn Taylor led North Cobb (7-9) with 18 points. London Reyes finished with 15, and Hananiah Bell contributed 10 in the Lady Warriors’ win.

Nakayla Evans was the top scorer for the Lady Colonels with nine points.

Cass (6-10, 5-2) returns to Region 7-AAAA play next week with road games at Woodland on Tuesday and Southeast Whitfield on Friday.

NORTH COBB 68, CASS BOYS 40

North Cobb had four players reach double-digit scoring on Saturday in a 68-40 home win over the Cass Colonels.

Jacoby Hardy led the Warriors with 19 points. Jordan Simpson and Julien Dunn each scored 12, and Keyshawn Harris added 10 points for North Cobb (2-14).

Lucas Pealor led Cass with 10 points. Ontario Crenshaw added nine.

Cass (3-13, 2-5) visits Woodland on Tuesday night and Southeast Whitfield on Friday.
