Lady Colonels’ pitcher Kylie Gentry scattered four hits and four walks, allowing just one run in the third inning to garner the win in the circle. She recorded three strikeouts.

Cass scored its two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Bailey York started the frame with a leadoff single. Harlee Thomason then coaxed a walk, and Natalie Hughes reached on a ground ball error to load the bases. Autumn Smith grounded out to score York, and one out later, KK Evans hit a ground ball that scored Thomason before Hughes was tagged out trying to advance home.

Evans (RBI), Hughes, and York had the only Cass hits, but those were enough to support the pitching performance by Gentry.

The loss dropped Allatoona to 7-4 overall and 7-4 in Region 7-4A.
