Cass girls win SMI Carrollton Holiday Tourney
The Cass girls basketball team won the SMI Carrollton Holiday Tournament Monday night be defeating Bowdon at Villa Rica High School, 68-46.
Londaisha Smith led Cass with a triple-double in the championship game to earn the tournament’s MVP honors. Smith finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 steals.
Keara McDaniel scored 18 points for the Lady Colonels. Claire Davis contributed seven points and received all-tournament team recognition.
Haley Johnson finished with seven points, nine rebounds, and 10 assists. Ariana Hames totaled six points. Gracie Elkins scored five points. Amaya Ford and Justice Bennett added three and two points, respectively.
Tanesha Kirk led Bowdon (5-3) with 33 points.
Cass (9-0) will return to action December 29-31 at the Adairsville Ace Hardware Holiday Tournament. The Lady Colonels open the tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 29 against Rockmart at 4 p.m.
