Cass soccer teams split final regular season games at Pebblebrook

The Cass Lady Colonels wrapped up their 2025 season Thursday night with a shootout win at Pebblebrook in Mableton, but the state tournament-bound Colonels lost to the Falcons 7-1.
The Cass girls led 1-0 at halftime, but the Lady Falcons scored an equalizer goal in the second half. The Lady Colonels then won the shootout session 3-2 to end their season on a winning note.
In the boys’ match, Pebblebrook led 2-0 at the intermission and added five second-half goals. The Cass boys scored their goal in the second half.
The Pebblebrook boys improved to 13-4-1 overall and will begin next week’s state tournament as a No. 1 seed from Region 3-AAAAA. The Lady Falcons fell to 5-13.
The Lady Colonels finished the 2025 campaign with a 2-12 mark. The Cass boys (7-8) will open the Class AAAA state tournament on Wednesday at Region 6-AAAA runner-up Blessed Trinity.
